Yes, I elieve some who are ired back are aid off.
When the person got rehired was it a matter of reaching back out to the manager or dept they worked with? Or was it an equal playing field where a job was posted by WF and they had to compete and reapply?
I know of one, a second level manager. No regular folks and several other managers are still gone.

Yes. I know someone who was laid off and rehired twice. After the 3rd layoff she started her own business. She’s much happier now.
