Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

More layoffs in Auto, please

Dear layoff deciders,

Please don't forget about little Auto. Letting go a handful of managers is an ok start, but let's get to the real cost savings.

There are functional redundancies galore. Entire redundant teams of 'consultants', 'liaisons', etc. (For used car loans?!)

You can't rely on managers to do the right thing and to be honest about this. Their agenda is to save their own bacon, and who could blame them? Their first duty is to themselves.

But there is work to be done.

Far too many 6 figure folks collecting paychecks that shouldn't be. And this really adds up.

Please hit the accelerator on this. Shareholders are counting on you.

Best

Auto is the worst career experience I have EVER had in WF. I have witnessed and heard the frustrations of so many with a few Auto leaders, at a level of undertow unlike I've experienced in other areas of bank and it does not seem to be getting better. It's a culture of CYA and can be toxic. Sadly. But there's also so well intentioned, good peeps in Auto that do their best with what they have.

Auto did not close Minneapolis, they got rid of a lot of office space to save $ and now those people are remote, same goes for Charlotte I think and some other locations. Less office space and less costs to Corp Properties. Lots of these jobs you don't need to be in an office for if not customer facing.

6 figure employees in Auto? Only in San Francisco. Schart certainly has his work cut out for him.

I was thinking about switching over to Auto. However, I have since heard they shutdown entire site in Minneapolis and next is Irving Texas.
