The pattern seems to be that layoffs happen during the last week of each month, usually but not always on the Thursday.
So who will get hit in March? People in my group are so anxious it’s affecting their health. My manager is so nervous he’s taken to repeating himself over and over. Wish they would just get it over with.

I hope they cut the right people this time. And get rid of the overpriced contractors first. There might be a hiring freeze but you wouldn’t know it from the number of new people.

So far in the Legal Department the only people being laid off ARE the truly competent. It doesn't make sense. These people also seem to all fit into an EEOC protected category. This is how they get rid of minorities and older folks.

Probably because paying thousands of employees to go away, when they will leave for "free" is a horrible business decision? Just a guess, I'm not an exec or downsizing expert.

I've seen IT BAs (formerly titled BSCs) and QA Analysts mentioned in previous blogs. Has anyone heard this? Are they now doing blanket title layoffs?

Which group did you move to? Sounds like may be one I am in, but in any case, manager that move us here was so this group can do our layoff since he is a coward

we move to a new group recently and I was told privately from someone in the group we are in now that the layoff will happen soon to all of us that moved here. My group had a ton of people who work here since the stagecoach days and they see it as a cash prize. For me, Ill need to find another job.
ML did say marketing would have layoffs in an all-team call. I don’t think he mentioned timing, but I could have missed it.

Who should get laid off are HR and Risk Mamagement teams and middle-level managers at the VP, SVP, and EVP levels. Anyone above EVP level lacking competence should be fired.
