Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Tim Sloan seeking $20 Million Deferred Compensation Payout

So sick of former top execs raking in the dough.

"Tim Sloan, the former Wells Fargo CEO who left his position two years ago, is seeking a $20 million deferred-compensation payout"

I hope he doesn't get it. But the rich do always manage to get richer.

Putting the populist headline aside, if he deferred his own compensation by the book/plan he should get it. His record is clean. It was his own agreed-upon comp that was deferred right? Nothing to see here.

@qbe

All deficit spending is an outrage. The feds should spend money on courts, cops, and the mil, and nothing else. Doesn't matter who is in what office, that's been my position for decades. Not sure why you are assuming otherwise. But your WAG was a 'wiff'.

@dix. I find it funny that the same people saying this had no problem mortgaging their children’s future for a big tax giveaway to the rich and corporations. At least be consistent in your outrage and don’t be a hypocrite.

Something like 9% of the bill goes to actual stimulus, the rest is pork/nonsense. It's not free money, but hey, to hell with future generations, amiright? They are the ones that will have to pay these bills, and they have no voice/vote. They can't object, all they can do is be saddled with the mistakes of previous generations. There's no justification for sending checks to a guy making $99k/year that has been working through the entire pandemic, especially when you consider that some of that $ will come from the working poor. Why are we demanding that the $15/hr worker of the future send a check to a guy making $99k? It makes no sense whatsoever. The bill could have been more effective (aka targeted) at 1/10th the cost. It was the size it was because politicians love to buy your votes with other people's money. Has nothing to do with COVID.

The only thing Tim Sloan deserves is a jail cell...

They are just regurgitating right wind talking points they hear on faux news. They can’t think for themselves. Don’t worry, folks who actually pay attention knows our people are getting the help they actually need, whether directly or indirectly through pandemic response and infrastructure that was ignored previously.

Current, former, they are all raking in the dough while they take likelihood’s away from thousands of the people who helped keep the bank going under a cloud.
