Heck why are so many Wells Fargo people are overpaid with corporate titles Wells Fargo Business Heads, ESVP, SVP, VP, AVP, Senior Managers, Managers and Seniors but many of us do significant work, reports and projects that Wells Fargo narcissists take all credits look good so unfair for workers. Wells Fargo is a toxic culture where these people abuse that power as they blame, complain, criticize, sabotage, talk lies and b—s—s. Dont trust a bit Wells Fargo people.

Lol, I remember when I first started working for a big bank and the person I interviewed with was introduced as a Vice President.
I thought it was something major! Then I found out everyone else had the same title, lol!

It is basically corporate nepotism. They go to a company and bring in their cronies at high prices. Then they move on to the next gig 2-3 years later after decimating the ranks, rinse and repeat. They are never around for the fallout of their bad decisions. It’s disgusting but these companies put up with it so there is nothing the ordinary workers who actually do the work can do.

Those titles don't mean sh!t at any consumer bank. You can swing a dead cat in Charlotte and hit a dozen VPs. Now, SVP is a true title at any consumer bank (I'm not suggesting there are people who don't deserve their SVP title – just that you do need to be really, really good to get it – or do certain favors for the boss.) By the way, I'm a VP and smell like dead cat.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Wells Fargo's issues don't stem from who is an AVP or VP. It's way above that level.

FWIW, I got an AVP title years ago, and it meant diddly squat.
I can tell you've never been a manager / leader. We don't get as much of the credit when things go well and you'd think, and we get a LOT of blame when our reports screw things up, even if the screw up is in direct opposition to provided procedures, coaching, training etc. Then mid manager guy asks you why you didn't foresee / prevent the issue, which in some cases is pretty much impossible. So yeah, it's not all peaches and cream being responsible for others.
Everyone has a title outside of low level non-exempt employees. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
