Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Zero Carbon Emissions and More

So let's get this straight:

1) We constantly hear internally how expenses are too high, how we can't afford pencils, there are no supplies for anyone, office space is being eliminated, heads being cut, etc. However, we have $500,000 to donate to Texas? So this proves that people at WF are not first, never have been, never will be. If we're needing to reduce expenses, how about cutting charitable donations?! Oh wait, that's not politically popular is it?
2) We have the worst morale I've ever seen here or anywhere else, yet we are focused on emails about zero carbon emissions by 2050? And there's tons of real issues internally but by golly, we are focused on zero carbon emissions. It's not hard to tell who's agenda they're running is it?! And it's a left leaning agenda for sure.
3) Employees are angry, upset, depressed, walking on eggshells over being lectured about expense reductions every single week (made to feel like we are nothing more than an expense) but we are never short $500,000 for any external cause are we?! Does anyone else see the hypocrisy in that besides me? I know several of my peers do.

Wells should be improving the failing company and not worry about these things when they cant even fix issues in their business. Stop the Crimes!!

Based on these emails, they are really off the track and need to be re-aligned with the disaster here.

As someone who has a relative who is a CPA, corporations do this for tax purposes. They can write it all off. So basically stuff like this is why companies like GE and Amazon pay no taxes. Then companies cry through lobbyists (whose “funding” they probably also write off) they need a corporate tax cut. Yeah, right.

But they want us all to come back to the office and produce emissions. Makes sense!

This is all part of the plan to signal to the people who really run the show in this country that the current management team is 100% onboard with the “agenda “ and WFC will now play ball and nicely in the sandbox.

They can cut carbon emissions a lot sooner by just shutting the doors.

It's all about being socially conscious now and being 'woke'.
Shove DE&I down everyone's throats.
You want to decrease the carbon footprint huh Wells Fargo?
Maybe you can start by cutting the dead weight.

Yes, we routinely flush millions down that particular toilet. This nonsense is a real double whammy because we're simultaneously saying we're going to invest millions in something that won't affect global temps in the slightest / produced no profits AND we're not going to finance other businesses that don't meet our emissions litmus test. So much wasted potential. The last thing we should be doing is turning away business because the customer is engaged in legal business activities. What's next, a litmus test for individual customers? Only certain kinds of people can have a checking account? Do you have to vote a certain way for Wells to serve you? This NYC stuff is getting out of control. Millions/billions for ineffective feel good c-ap, nada for employees/customers.

Wells Fargo has always done this. There’s always money for whatever cause will garner the most positive PR. Next we’ll see ATM screens giving us the opportunity to lend a hand personally.

WF never misses an opportunity to buy some good press, and $500,000 is a pittance.

I was waiting for a post on this. I'm sure this move is politically motivated, but not in the way you're thinking. It's more of frosting on the cake move for the current administration to remove the asset cap a bit quicker. Chess not checkers comes to mind here.

The best way for Wells Fargo to eliminate carbon emissions is just let the people who don't work at a branch work from home and cancel all of the office leases that are not from branches.
