Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

New people

As of yesterday, we have two new members on our team and one of them is actually a transfer from another bank with plenty of experience under her belt. I am positively shocked. We've been slammed for months but it never occured to any of us to even ask for more people because slammed is the new norm, right? However, as happy as I am about this development I also have this seed of doubt that maybe they were brought in to replace somebody instead to help out. Is that a realistic possibility?

The bank is trying to bring in new blood from other banks. She very well may be a replacement. Contractors are being used to keep the boat afloat while the bank transitions.

If the new person is internal and full time there's almost no chance that they have been brought in to replace someone. If contract or overseas, get the resume ready.

I am not! I love the fact she is here. But I can't help worrying, that's all.

Dont make her new experience miserable with unqualified paranoia. She is there to work and help.
