Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anyone else p-ss-d about making too much to qualify for the free money?

Why can’t those of us that have worked hard and made great money get a piece of the action? I’ve been paying into the system for 20 years, averaging over $80k per year in fed/state taxes alone. Shouldn’t I be entitled to some of that welfare money? instead of bailing out bums in banking, the airline industry, and professional bums in general.

Very interesting topic. No one making "too much" money should complain about stimulus. Now those making a lot of money. Those who have worked hard and put themselves in a better position. They have a right to complain that way too many people expect a hand out. Expect an easy job. Expect that someone owes them something. Expect they can sit home and not look for work and get free money. NO !! Everyone has an opportunity - some are just more effective at working to make it happen for themselves. Capitalism and the American Dream. Work Hard and make something for yourself. Don't just wait for free school, and free stimulus, and free whatever. Go EARN it.

It always amazes me that those who have the most complain the most about the government helping people that need it. What does that say about the elite in this country?

Times are tough. Everybody can use some help. We’ve all seen another $25 to fill up the tank within days of closing the pipeline and we all have other expenses from COVID and enhanced medical expenses.

Call Wells Fargo HR at Phone Number: 877-749-3557. They will investigate you managers take you bonus, so in the end was pennies, like slap in deface.

Government owe you $4k for all the stimulus checks and HR in on it as they get theirs and keep it here for themselves, and maybe yours too... probably here for themselves. HR can look into it and call the government to make sure you keep it there. HR can remove pay cap for big increase next check plus COVID deposits in full in next check.

HR here to hear you and can fix all these issues fast. Request an HR Concierge when you call.

  1. @op it's not welfare
  2. For those of you criticizing, some families are single income and could really use the help. Especially for those that are having to relocate to a more expensive city because of a deeply flawed, "location strategy".

Yup. Makes me sick that people that make more than me qualify for the full amount, while we don't get anything because we file separately.

OP, you are exactly what’s wrong with America. Unlike other countries, most are about the me rather than the we.

I like money as much as anyone, but no. I’m probably not getting the $1400 and if I do, I’ll donate it. This is relief. I’ve been lucky - I’m working remotely, i haven’t been laid off, I did ok during bonus season. My family has a good home, food to eat and we’re healthy. There are a lot of people out there who need that money far more than I do.

Plus, as a society, we’re far better off when people have money to spend on essentials than we are with evictions, foreclosures and bread lines.

You do get the bit where the publishers of the books stopped publishing six of them right - there was no conspiracy just a company exercising their right to do what they want.

Seeing as you cretins seem to like your free-dum so much, maybe you should pay closer attention to the facts and stop your whining.

You poor baby 👶! Kids are starving and you are b–ching. Nobody feels bad for you OR me btw... I make too much to qualify and don't mind a bit. I don't need to steal from the poor in order to get rich. Maybe if you qualify for the next round of layoffs you'll learn some compassion the hard way.

What is wrong with this poster? And with GQP who were against the stimulus checks? How many will return the checks they are complaining about?

Get bent. You paid $80k in taxes and millions don't make half that in income on an annual basis. GTFO.

I wish I was making more than $75,000.00 per year. I wouldn't qualify for a stimulus check but with that type of salary I wouldn't need a stimulus check because I would be much better off financially. A one time $1,400.00 payment sounds good but it's just one time versus an annual salary i.e. a steady and stable income. I'll take the annual salary.

Stimulus is theft from a generation of unborn Americans that have no say in their money and future being stolen. There's really no justification for the government taking $ from the future in order to give it to a guy that is actively working and making $99k/year, and yet here we are. Not to mention that most of the bill isn't even going to such stimulus. Clearly some will be helped in the very short term, but the inevitable inflation and harm to our children's future will be much greater in scope. It's a classic case of "the cure is worse than the disease".

Really? I did not receive a merit increase because of the cap and I’m not eligible for the stimulus $. I’m also able to WFH, and put money in my savings and 401k. Not all of us are as fortunate so I’m glad the bill passed and hope it will help folks who are struggling right now. For the record, I am as vain, materialistic, and selfish as most Americans. I just don’t see life as a zero sum situation.

@OP+19JBDJmX If you had a kid you could file head of household and bam, you'd have extra money.

It's not like you'd wind up ahead financially though. Stop whining, act like an adult and be glad for what you have. It beats living off $1,400 until the pandemic is over.

How bizarre is this thinking? The point of the COVID relief is to help people who are in need.

Your glass is 3/4 full and you want to take from someone 1/4 full... how sad is that?

Stop sticking your hands out rich boys...
