Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Anyone else out there having to call IT first thing in the morning because they’re randomly looked out of full disk encryption?

Seriously, three days in a row averaging 15 minute calls to be able to log in. Password works, all updates made. IT be like “this should work”. So far 45 minutes wasted

Schart just loves Microsoft and sits in their board.

Schart’s PC always works.

Schart scrolls Excel and PowerPoint decks across devices, clueless that thin Sharepoint hosted documents are tedious and expensive to develop without support of basic modern keyboard hot keys and shortcuts.

Reminds me of the prior generation dictating emails and asking their admins to print the incoming mail.

It took me two days to get a replacement computer after a Windows update made my computer not fixable. And I was not the only one. It took me three hours to get someone to even tell me I need a new computer.

Beware everyone: the Windows 10 install takes minimum 2-3 hours and there are like 50 auto-reboots. Do not wait until the last minute where the system forces you to do the install during the day. Have it install after hours & make sure it happens.

My password never changed and I typed it in correctly and verified. IT person told me today sometimes this just doesn’t work so if you don’t want a ton of calls fix the problem

If you type your password in endpoint/securedoc more than 5 times, and it's wrong, you will be locked out on endpoint, not ad-ent. This happens all the time when users change their passwords. If it's endpoint, make sure you/they unlock at endpoint and type your ad-ent password when prompted, don't just have them give you a one time logon. If this does not work at next reboot, they need to create a tix and have the encryption team unlock your account on the backend or this will never end. Ask me how I know.

I call in too, the guy did something to get it working today, but said when it re-occurs, to ping them on chat as it will happen until something is disabled.

yea I have issue too; they hire some inexperience people who dont know what the encryption is. You will see more of these types of issues all over the place. Plan on half a day being busy fixing your laptop
