Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When does the low morale at Wells Fargo end?

When the layoffs are done in two years or whenever? When the stock price goes up? Never?

I have never seen morale lower anywhere I have worked. No plan other than massive layoffs. No transparency. Reorgs happening sometimes four times a year. New leaders every day who have no idea about this company and all having their own ideas. How is that any way to run a business?

My direct reports have good morale because I'm a good boss and a Christian.

Charlie isn’t doing a horrible job, he’sh–ting it out of the park on most every at bat. Selling off WFA was sheer genius. No wealthy client would ever stay with WFA given our nonstop scandals which removed any chance of it being profitable to us. But selling it to a competent, ethical well run FI gave us a great price for a huge customer base that we were rapidly losing.

Also, Charlie is close to removing the asset cap and other regulatory issues. This, after 15 years of corrupt management who only increased the corruption, is a beautiful thing.

Charlie isn’t afraid to trim the fat, the corruption, or the obsolete tech.

You owe Charlie an apology.

I actually don’t feel that the morals are so bad here, it is more the sagging morale that is getting to me. When you say “The moral is fine so long as you stay away from this site” I say “The moral of the story is to keep your morale up”.

The moral is fine so long as you stay away from this site.

Although I think that you mean well with your advice for people to “just comment on layoffs and [take] their personal BS to a facebook / telegram group I for one don’t have the money to send telegraphs to all of these people and will probably keep it here. Maybe you can share some of your money so that we can keep it here?

Are you aware that you are literally the only person talking about CS in this thread? CDS is clearly in full effect. No one has mentioned him, even obliquely. I don't really care who the CEO is, they come and they go, makes no difference to me. But that's ok, anyone that recognizes your incoherence is labelled as a "yes man" in your ridiculous response. You really are a joke, and for the record, I think CS is doing a horrible job. If he was doing great, you wouldn't still be here. I guess that means that the "no men" don't think much of you either.

Successful people control their own morale and ignore other people who don't.

Oh boy - I love getting all the yes-men lathered up. The Charlie-lovers are way too easy lol. Thanks for the entertainment.

You think Charlie is on the right track? He has figured out you are fools too. He doesn’t need a bunch of cheerleaders around him. He needs critical thinkers who are strong enough to disagree with him when it’s appropriate. We had enough Yes-Men back in the day and they played a big part in taking the company down. Haven’t you heard? In 2021, talent, skills and knowledge are in and Yes Men are out. Way out. Believe me, Charlie has zero respect for bobble heads.

But either way, he gets to walk away with the big bucks. And who knows what’s going to become of you?

Never. When has this company ever cared about morale? Have you not read the 100+ page document on occ.gov (public doc) supporting reasons why they fined 8 executives in 2020? It speaks specifically about why. Read it.

Glad you got it because you don't have one. Good. My point is all the b–ching and stating you've been here a long time, why not seek better? Complaining on a forum doesn't fix a thing. Hell, if I felt that way, I'd start making tracks.

When you don’t have a valid argument or opinion, you tell people to GTFO. Got it.

Given that, I refuse to believe you care. What’s your agenda?

jjc+19Eckwdq, maybe that's the problem. You're here too long and you're frustrated. My suggestion remains, gtfo and stop claiming you care because you don't.

I am going to suggest you GTFO if you enjoy the constant chaos. Apparently you don’t care about the company but have another agenda. Those here for a while actually give a dam.

Morale is not universally low, but for those groups where it is, sure, when the mass layoffs end and there is some stability to anything we do, morale will improve. There's been way to many reorgs and process changes. Even the annual review process, last year it changed every week. I get that they are attempting to transform the company, but at some point excessive change is detrimental to that objective.

@nps+19Eckwdq, agree with you. It's the forum here with the constant complaining and attacks against others who want to be here. I say it over and over, gtfo if you hate it so much .

The moral is fine so long as you stay away from this site. For some reason, every whiner in the company spend their days here. It would be nice if people just commented on layoffs and took their personal BS to a facebook / telegram group.

Amen to the previous poster!!

If the trolls on here even put half as much effort into their jobs as they do in making these “we are all victims” posts they would find WF actually treats you pretty well
