Branch closures?

When are they planning on consolidating and closing the branches?

They are closing a branch a mile from my home on March 10th and supposedly transferring most to other offices. Looks like I'll be opening an account at a competitor bank for convenience.

Yep, branch closures have been an ongoing process for years. Funny thing is, people talk about branches like they are outmoded and not necessary (in such great numbers), and yet when I go to one for something they are crazy busy. I spent almost an hour in a drive through line waiting to get a cashier's check that I had to have for closing on a house. Would have threw in the towel and headed home, but time was of the essence. In any case, a lot of people still like going to branches, even if some of the services they are getting are available elsewhere.

Wells Fargo announced in 2018 that they planned to close over 900 branches through 2022. This has been going on forever.
