Small business and government is the primary employer in the USA. We really do not need these corporations

LOL Wells employee @gnu+192QvC49 from San Fran complaining about all of the crazy ideas from San Fran Sicko. The rest of us never voted for this insanity. And now we have to bail out California once again. Sad.

Wells Fargo can’t properly manage oversight when the fraud is happening in the same building right under the C-Suite’s nose, much less when sending work to a foreign country. I can’t wait for the next big scandal to hit the news. It’s just a matter of time.

This management team is as short-sighted, self-interested and foolish as the last. Just different names and higher salaries.

Again, I’m just going to assume you’re ok with WFC sending jobs overseas as long as it’s not your job. As long as you’re not personally affected: who cares, right?

So move to India then get back to me on how your new quality of life is overall. You too could have every single one of those benefits if you opted to be paid 20% of your current salary.

I agree with @lpk+192QvC49, follow the sun support for IT folks from India is a very good thing.

Sending all our jobs there, though, that's just the free market in action.

Large companies have been outsourcing to India since the early 90's. It's nothing new or even interesting. I personally don't miss getting dragged out of bed at 2 in the morning because some batch job is slower than usual. If you want to go back to the 'not very' good old days, have at it. Just don't call me in the middle of the night.

I will call HR and see if I can get these benefits too; had anyone already checked on this?

My manager doesnt seem to know who works on their team, so we dont have this level to go to. I am not even sure they know which company they are employed at.

Benefits in the US are crazy expensive for employers to provide because politicians have made them crazy expensive with massive regulation and mandates (why 80 year old men must have coverage for pregnancy etc.). This is called 'k–ling the golden goose'. Everyone loves the idea of another 1000 pages of government health care regulations until it becomes time to pay for them. Of course, the real objective of increasing the costs is that citizens will become so outraged that they demand Soviet-care-for-all. And if you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it's "free".

Those of you in denial that this company will move as many jobs to India as possible are deluding yourselves. Especially tech jobs. They did it at JPMC, they’ll do it here.

All other banks, IT services companies provide similar benefits in India. If any Wells Fargo India salary is considered lower than the competitors.

Corporate has figured out that adding all these benefits is still cheaper than overpaying for US employees who complain about their lack of benefits when they get the all important benefit of cash. If you're so jealous of Indians, go apply for a job in India. They're hiring.
