It was my understanding review discussions were to begin 01/19, but I haven’t heard anything. Have reviews started for anyone else?

All workers must be assigned inconsistently meets until morale improves.
Why are you bumping up a thread from 8 months ago?
Just quit! Wells Fargo doesn’t deserve you. I quit after 23 years and my new employer can’t believe what I’m bringing to the table. More money and way less bulls#!t.
I also received “inconsistently Meets”. I was at “meets” mid-year and worked my a__ off this year. Also framed as “changes in management” bla bla bla and somehow supposed to be okay with it. Already looking elsewhere
@2yr This ties into the forced ranking discussion.
@2nd well sure, you can always be let go for performance, even without an improvement plan in some cases. Just not seeing what that has to do with Salary Continuation Plans beyond the fact that, sure, fired people aren't eligible. But in what strange world would fired people get a severance anyway? That's not generally how firing works...
@1dg, if you’re reviewed on the lower end of the spectrum and subsequently put on a performance improvement plan, you can be let go for performance and not be eligible for salary continuation.
I’m also in risk and was an exceeds at mid-year and now a meets. It wasn’t a surprise but still frustrating as I’m sure it got kicked out to support one of the higher ups favorites. I plan on moving on soon anyway
Had mine yesterday. Somehow I went from an exceeds at mid year in august to a meets for the final. My work did not go down, the quality did not suffer and I did way more than anyone else on my team, Worked on high impact items, seems bogus ratings are real.
Anyone in risk get an exceeds or consistently exceeds for annual 2020? Curious as I was shocked to get only a meets after only positive feedback.
Wells Fargo managers forced unsupported ratings "Inconsistently Meets" so they can stop raises and bonus and drive out people. All those arrogant overpaid Wells Fargo managers get to keep their shining jobs let the little people suffers. Shame on all Wells Fargo management .
"It s—s, but what really s—s is if they use the reviews to can people so they don't have to pay sev."
What does a review, of any kind, have to do with the Salary Continuation Plan?
My review was scheduled for yesterday, but my manager rescheduled it for next Tuesday. I checked with my peers and only one other’s was rescheduled. Both of us, as well as our peers, have suspected for a while that the 2 of us would be displaced. We’re guessing Tuesday will be the day. Does anyone know if another round of layoffs is scheduled for exit week?
These reviews matter a lot. Yes, chuck stated having the reviews at a different time is because that's what jp did/does. But if you believe that's the only reason, dream on. If you get below meets there is good chance you will be culled. Saul stated big cuts in IT in q2. Hmm, interesting how that will occur right after reviews. Fact of the matter, if the powers have said to the mid managers, you need to cull 25%, even though that 25% is doing great, tough. The mgr will rate you lower because he has to rank and yank. That term came from JPM and has been regurgitated on this board for months now. It s—s, but what really s—s is if they use the reviews to can people so they don't have to pay sev.
am i supposed to do one for my manager too? like a 360 review?
they have to be done and employee acknolwledged by 1/31 in the system; so for anyone who doesn't have a planned meeting I would set one up yourself with your manager. Mine has been scheduled for a couple of weeks, others on my team have had theirs.
Please, please I need help!!! my service manager gave me the worst rate in the annual review, It wasn't like that before.
I got 5 inconsistently meets out of 6
I think it is unfair and she is playing to decide who stays and who goes. What should I do?
She didn't do a meeting to explain my evaluation, just gave me the copy. I am planning to talk to her today but I am afraid this won't help.
Don't know about other business groups, but I have people rated as Exceeds and Consistently Exceeds. Not a lot of them, but it's certainly allowed if justified. The guided distribution is a load of @$ though. They claim in the docs from HR that it isn't a requirement, and then upper management comes back and says it is if you have "too many" people above Meets. That p-ss-d me off. Off you're going to make it a requirement, have the stones to be up front about it.
In any case OP, you will have your review soon enough. Barring some kind of LOA situation, the task has to be complete by 1/31. Likely your massage just doesn't enjoy the task so they are procrastinating.
Most people should fall into Meets. This does not mean you are average. You do what is expected and somewhat more and are a valuable contributor.
Inconsistently meets = beware. You are considered an obstacle in Management’s eye in terms of building a high performing team. Ask for a plan on how you can turn things around.
I got inconsistently meets. I feel frustrated because I do my best everyday. Other coworkers (tellers) are in their phones all the time, many times they don't realize when a customer showes up and they got a better evaluation. Service manager does not say anything because she is like them.
Got mine yesterday... meets across the categories, My manager allocated 30 minutes for the meeting since there were 20 other reviews that needed to happen in a span of several days. Mid-year was exceeds. No sense in pushing back. I think my silence spoke louder.
I was also exceeds in mid year. I busted my backside and had a phenomenal review. Then I was told that all of my accomplishments and accolades of going above and beyond and “excelling” and “exceeding” are expected and I was only at a meets level. Only at a meets level to have my manager put their stuff on my and taking on huge projects that I got awarded for. I get it, I have a job and for that I’m grateful. It doesn’t feel good though. It’s not a motivator. Oh, and I’ll get less money bc exceeds gets more. Therefore I will not k–l myself in 2021 since I can do less and check the boxes, right? Is that the message they’re sending?
Exceeds is possible. Believe me!
The guidance i heard was that nobody new could be rated less than "meets"....Perhaps the guidance is difference by business?
A previous manager told me that anyone hired after may 1 got lower scores as too new to rate and inconsistently scored showing they needed to prove themselves to the org. If you're a 3 consider yourself excellent. If you haven't been here long and got a lower score, make sure you're performing, try not to get too worried.
Same here I was hired in March 2020 and got a meets in the mid-year - changed to "Inconsistently meets" I left money on the table in my prior role so now I am completely screwed.
Any recourse ? File a complaint ? lawyers ?
The review doesn’t really matter.
At the end of the day money talks and bullsh-t walks
had mine, got a 'meets' and was told most fall in that category, some will get lower, some higher - part of the 'guided' distribution, raises and bonuses will be communicated after board meets next week
I had mine yesterday. I was exceeds in my mid-year and now I am meets. I didn't bother to push back on anything because I know what's going on.
yea they told me inconsistently meets, so i go in and change it to exceeds, I realize mgmt or peers cannot rate someone at my level.
Annual performance review has started this week. Does getting a rating of “inconsistently meets” mean that there’s a higher chance of getting laid off, fired, no salary increase and bonus?
Going on now. Need to be complete for merit salary and bonus, if applicable, communication by the 26th.
Yes they've started and run until the 26th.
Yes that started this week l, I got “Inconsistently meets” and they tried to frame it as something ok. Supposedly they weren’t allowed to give anyone really over “meets”. Just disappointing when you work so hard
