Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

All the best people are gone

BB&T and SunTrust have been in the dark ages for a long time, yes, the lights have been out for a long time. They weren't ready for a merger of equals, they just needed to hire some sharp people to bring them into the 21st century. Hiring Boston Consulting was their biggest mistake, not only have they ruined their brand, they listened to people who looked at numbers, not people. All the "Best of the Best" have been RIFd or left. The remaining in fear and swamped doing the work of others. So sad to see them end this way. You can't treat people this way and get away with it without failing. What comes around goes around.

Perfectly said, @2mfd+18p65xRV.

Your point about bank leadership is spot on. Many have been marginalized and basically told to be quiet, don’t raise concerns about issues or you’re construed as being negative. The arrogance of some of the people in leadership is astounding. It would be nice to be around long enough to see many of these get their just due.

So true. The sobering reality is it goes way deeper than unhappy employees: the vast majority of BANK LEADERSHIP doesn’t even like Truist!! The higher your level at the bank, the more you know I speak the truth. I hope you all have a Happy New Year, and that you don’t let this train wreck get you down. Life is too short to be treated this way, and I hope we all end up in much better organizations (can’t get worse)!

Do you think these executives in these town halls actual believe the la meirda they spout? Each give a 5 minute commercial message and when they finish you go WTF did he or she just say! It is insulting to the intelligence of their audience. Jeeez
