Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

So can we sue?

Just asking. We can all get together and make it one big lawsuit.

We should sue for mismanagement that resulted in more training, more bureaucracy, stale wage growth, and impacts to our 401k.

Certainly, you can always sue. Have fun losing your money or at best coming nowhere close to Wells’ offer.

Keep in mind that the Wells severance is one of the most generous benefits in the Financial Services industry. The only people who might sue are leaders whose names we all know, and they already have contracts in place negotiated by lawyers before they stepped in for their first day of work

You do have to sign away your rights to sue in order to get it. It is frightening that teammates have such little knowledge of the industry

We have every right to file a lawsuit. I have been harassed by my manager and other coworkers about coming back to work. I asked about jobs from home and was told no while white employees were offered work from home. Guess lack of black talent.

No reason to pay a lawyer for losing a case.

Seriously, the laws in this country are stacked in favor of the company in most states.

Europe has better protections for employees but saying so will get you called socialist and other names that most people don't know the meaning of.

If our experiences are anything to go by, a whole bunch of WF staff trying to organize something is simply gonna fall flat on its face and go nowhere....

Still waiting for someone to explain what the reason would be for a lawsuit?

We can, but then read the fine print on the severance package and say goodbye to it, once you do.

Ah yes, the great answer to everything. How dare anyone ever take responsibility for anything.

We are all victims and wells is the big bad wolf and they must pay because we are entitled to their money!!

F***ing grow up

Ah, trying to gather info for a lawsuit is against the site's terms.

Suspect this thread will disappear.

So if you have not been hit with the RIF and you find this a morally corrupt institution how can you stay here?

Get a lawyer if you think you have just cause. Start a FB page.

I wish everyone would sue WFC:

Customers who were ripped off through all the multiple documented abuses, shareholders who lost 50% of their stock value and 80% of their income, employees who were manipulated then fired with the “Eight is Great” scam, all the Whisteblowers who were fired, businesses who were short-changed because we bungled the PPP loans, employees who are losing their jobs through no fault of their own due to years of mismanagement, FAs who lost their customers due to WFC’s now scandal-plagued untrustworthy reputation, taxpayers to get back WFC’s windfall under the GOP corporate tax cuts now that Wells is sending US jobs overseas, and regulators for having to spend so much time investigating and then babysitting us. Employees should also file a class action lawsuit against John Stumpf and Carrie Tolstedt for all the harm they caused.

Wells is rotten to the core and certainly does not deserve to be safeguarding anyone’s money.

Rudy gets $20,000 per day. All of us together can’t afford him.

Rudy will be available on January 21st assuming he doesn't die of covid-19. Maybe he'll take the case.
