This is not new news. Been happening for 20 years in US and everyone turns a blind eye until it happens to them.

There are two things I wish they'd teach in school about working for a corporation.
First, corporations don't have citizenship, they are not patriotic, they are driven by shareholders and shareholders want the maximum return on their investments. They are not your friend, you are not part of a "family".
Second, HR is here to protect the company, not you.
About half the posters here don't seem to know these things.

All large banks and insurers have moved call centers, support, and tech to India and Philippines. I don't see this changing or slowing down any time soon.
