Got laid off today , thousands of other employees got so as well .

My co-worker and I in IT were trying to pin down some key information for a "critical" report wanted by upper Management. The business partners were supposed to provide the specifics on what was needed to create the "critical" report and turns out they had NO clue as to what was needed. When Wells Fargo lets go of their experienced employees that key knowledge goes "bye" with them and things will then go wrong at the company. Do they not realize that long term employees cannot be replaced by newbies? Unbelievable.
They just gave me my 5 yr recognition thing 3 weeks ago and they let me go this morning. My mngr couldnt explain to me (or wouldnt) how i was selected to be displaced since ive been one of his best banker. 5 yrs down the drain
I am a pb1 that got laid off today...its pretty bittersweet when u been there for 5 years going on 6 and have never missed a day because you love your job and the customers you help. I was the only one of the pb1 in my branch they let go how they decide that i dont know nor do i care at the moment. Its awful that it happened during the holidays and a pandemic. Wells do not value there employees and this speaks to it. I will find something better most definately. Good luck to everyone my prayers goes out to you and your families.
Pb1s and CSSRs got laid off today in the North East. DMs advised mgrs bankers need to perform and bring in investments and lending or they’ll be laid off next round...sure sounds like old Wells Fargo is at it again. I had hopes this company was turning around but I’ll be looking for other work starting after this post.

Someone who was let go today should notify Austin Weinstein, the banking reporter at the Charlotte Observer. He has expressed an interest in hearing when layoffs happen in bulk. Ask him to protect your name and privacy. He has asked to be kept informed. He will contact the company first to verify. I’m sure Wells Fargo is wanting to keep it under wraps due to the timing of the holidays and the pandemic etc .
I am so sorry to hear your news, and my heart goes out to everyone. Never a good time, but this is the worst of the worst.
So sorry many in the branches got let go today. 100% of Assistant Branch and CSSR’s told today is their last day. I am prayerful you all will find something bigger. It’s a business doesn’t make Wells Fargo bad just said to see people leave.
Don't worry Charlie gonna get let go in 2021.
