PB1's were let go today in my area. Told that position is no longer.

They had to complete it by today
Just guessing, but may maybe the managers who’ll be communicating the separations found out today so they can complete the required training prior to layoffs being effective on Tuesday, as opposed to the layoffs themselves taking place today.
OP here. To those that lose their jobs, I hope you get something better and very soon.
As far as the branch closings listed on the OCC site, those employees have been notified at least 30 days prior to it being announced and listed.
My question was regarding new, real time positions being eliminated.

branch are supposed to be today. there is a public list of the closing branches that has been filed with the feds. a link was posted in an earlier thread and there were many many branches listed for closure
