Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

DM

All Bm levels are being moved to one role. No more. BM 1-3. Removal of service manager roles as well.

The post makes sense. Today, branches are getting staffing models pulled back. The branches that were bigger will see significant staffing reductions. All branch managers will lead about the same amount of people, no more of a need to level the manager role with a 1, 2, or 3.

There’s a new branch layout coming out that includes assisted service ATMs and a bunch of digital screens for customer self-service. There are a couple offices and collaborative space that the manager can use as well as the team to train and make calls.

This is how the branch banking network is working on its “span” and next is the “layer”. I’ve seen a model where the Service Manager is a supporting role vs. a manager with direct reports.

These changes will role out in waves over 2021. If you thought you had to learn a lot in the branch this year, next year you’re in for a treat.

Why is @wmh getting downvotes?

This is a layoff website, there are other places to vent about the job.

This stuff just dilutes posts that actually have something to do with layoffs.

The more posts we get like this the further down the list a post like "Layoffs on December 1st" or whatever gets pushed down, until it goes stale.

How is the elimination of a position present in every WF branch not layoff related?

This isn't even layoff related. These sorts of topics should be banned on a layoff board.
