Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Blurred Vision, No Values

Working through a pandemic & this is the thanks we get? All about the almighty dollar bill which they have to spend based off numbers made EVERY quarter. SMDH, care culture has turned into vulture culture my past 10 years here. "Vision & Values" should really be updated.

We are running around with blindfolds on, hoping we don’t hit a wall.

Some folks read things like Vision and Values and think it's a real thing.

It's just marketing.

You can't say crimes and denials.

They also can't say "risk your life and your family's safety for our shareholders".

Corporations will never love you, don't love them.

I do not have a customer-facing job, but if I took one before last year- I would never have imagined I would have to work during a pandemic. Other businesses have figured out how to adapt to protect their employees where possible. Curb-side service, drive-up windows at restaurants etc. Why can’t Wells Fargo just use their drive-thru windows?

If you take a customer facing job, does it not stand to reason that you have to face customers? I assume that people need a mask to enter the building and we're following the safety guidelines. Seems to me that you're in the same position as just about everyone in the world that has to interface with customers. Not really sure what your complaint is. It's a pandemic - we all hate it.

Those of us who WFH should support those who don’t have that privilege. I’m guessing that is what OP is referring to?

If that is the case, OP, I get you. None of us make enough money to risk our health to keep the bank branches open.

Just curious: Are there functions that can not be performed through drive-up? I wonder why we don’t just do that.

Until the Vision and Values is updated to read
"We value competency above all else"
the company will continue to fail.

I was just thinking this. Exposing ourselves in the branches on a daily basis since the pandemic started and this is how much were valued.

what values? Starts at top and they show all the wrong traits, reason why company is in such a bad situation and some new thing every quarter pop up done by executive branch

A financial institution is (rightfully) concerned about its underperformance and is taking measures to address the bottom line? What jerks (eye roll)
