Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

'Business Liaison Consultant'

These people are overpaid dead weight.

Name one thing they do that isn't just them passing along someone else's work or message to someone else.

If WF wants to cut expenses, another great place to start are these glorified secretaries.

If you're one of these glorified secretaries and don't like my characterization of your job title, post an example of a deliverable of yours that isn't (essentially) someone else's work.

All LOB’s are different. Which one are you speaking about?

Right, don't post the actual deliverable.

But you should be able to describe examples of non-trivial work that you did on your own, instead of passing someone else's work off as something you meaningfully contributed to.

This might be an uncomfortable thread for some (especially if the words 'business' and 'consultant' appear in your job title), but HR apparently reads these, and they should know that these people basically only take notes and schedule meetings. They don't actually do anything on their own though, and they're often paid 6 figures.

If people have to be let go, it should start with people that can be let go with little/no difference to the business.

Legally we can’t post internal only deliverables in this public forum. If so, you’d be eating your words.

Business Liaison Consultant also exists - not referring to BIC, altho they are basically the same.

The post in the past was about Business Support Consultants and not Business Initiative Consultants.

So, lots of defensive criticisms of the OP so far, but not one example of original work that these 'business consultants' do.

What's funny about these job titles is that no one actually "consults" with these people. They don't know anything beyond the cursory. They are the ones consulting with others, not vice versa.

But anyways, having to read occasional criticisms in exchange for a job that pays double what it should isn't so bad, given that you're a messenger/note taker.

He might be, but he isnt wrong. They specialize in nothing but navigating the mess of manual workarounds and speeding communication around the lifers who slow roll or fail to answer emails

Great job creating the a-hole post of the day. It is usually the d-bag that always states these layoffs are a hoax, so don’t think you are in good company.

I think you are talking about business initiative consultant? That came up on this board before, and you are 100% correct.
