Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Remember when....

Does anyone remember when Verizon was automatically adding the cloud feature to most peoples accounts if they did any type of upgrade or add a line? (2 or 3 years ago) I remember I had to make sure I removed it each time, so the customer didn’t get charged but I saw a lot of people coming in that didn’t know they were paying for it... Did Verizon ever get in trouble for doing that?

It was a back door way for Verizon to slam features on accounts without getting in trouble. “ Free Trial “ always means we hope they forget to cancel the feature so it continues to bill month after month. It’s the same mentality with that old Hum device they use to make us slam. If we sold 10 a month and 5 got returned well we still sold 5. There are customers who are still paying service fees for Hum devices that are unopened in a bag somewhere. Verizon can clearly see when devices are never activated but continue to bill out for years.

No . It was a free 30 day trial it was our job to educate them about the free trial , I remember having a training about this . They also received a message after 30 days if they wanted to keep it or not
