Anyone have a current headcount? Last number I heard was 260,000 but that was a few months back. With all of the "massive layoffs" that I have been reading about on this board, I figure that there would be a new, lower number now.

you don't work here if you don't know our headcount, so why do you care or want to know?
- 8k.
I heard the total they are after is 200k - 210k; honestly most of people in my group work here decades and pretty much do nothing and get a paycheck
It has been 2k a month since July. That's what HR can handle so expect that for the next year or more. I'm guessing they will layoff as many as they can, if they lay off to many in one dept, then they will hire later. 230k is the number that they are after, give for take 10k.
Let's hope Wells layoffs middle management in Wealth Management. They are making over $300,000 and do nothing at all. They should go!
Some article said we lost about 6800 in the 4th quarter. Don't forget though you can hide the total headcount by laying off 3 US employees but hiring 1 back in India.
I think tomorrow will be a big day for layoffs; there is a new head of displacements trying to make a name.
That’s way too many. The brutal truth is that they need to cut a lot more.
It's around 267,000
layoffs only started in september or october, and then got abruptly throttled in december when displacement ops got overwhelmed resulting in errors, etc. We haven't seen anything yet.
Insane to think that a bank needs a quarter of a million employees to run...
Careful looking at headcount
270,000 - Total Beg
- 10,000 - USA
+10,000 - India
270,000 - Total End
