Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

During earnings tomorrow...

Will CS:

  • announce more layoffs?
  • announce sale of WFAM?
  • address the insurrection/impeachment?
  • cause our share price to rise/drop?
  • announce NYC as new headquarters?
  • set new efficiency ratio goal?
  • mention slow rate of layoffs were due to problems off boarding by HR/IT?
  • announce BD departure to new administration?
  • announce more JPM hires?
  • announce new return to office date?
  • explain how he’s going to retain top talent? when raises are frozen for earners making $150k+?
  • detail why CIB is the shiny new penny when it’s actually been here all along?
  • speak authentically and humanly about D&I?
  • explain how he’s keeping branches safe around U.S. capitals?

@2fml+18VeMfUP, you are right it is a sinking ship still. IN any case, i went ahead and left as life is short and i cannot reach my goals working in a place with no opportunity. Layoffs are less of the issue but reaching my goals is more of why i left. With this massive money increase is only one of the outcomes but not primary goal for me.

Advice -
Bail out now, it may get very ugly.
I feel sorry for you, but don't be the last one to turn out the lights. Life is short, go to greener pastures.

An upper level executive told me some time ago that shareholders don’t matter anymore. I believe it is still true.

@jcc+18VeMfUP Have you ever listened to an earnings call? If you were right, the call would be five minutes. This is last quarter’s transcript:

Those things should come in the town halls they are having the rest of the month.

I said should. That doesn’t mean will.

Well, yes and no. Investors care about profits, sure, but they want to know the details of how the company plans to get where it's going so they can assess the plan and the stock's outlook more effectively. A CEO just saying, "we made X, we'll make more in the future" isn't enough information for investors. Because of that we may learn SOME info. I'm not saying it will be a tell-all, but we may get some details.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

He’ll report the numbers, mention how much he intends to save by cutting expenses going forward, and that will be that.

Those calls are for Wall Street investors, nobody else. They care about earnings and profits. That’s it.
