To avoid being laid off become active in one of the diversity clubs at WF. My manager has played this game and did well. I started in the fall. That is almost all I do.

Yes, at BONY it was tough. There's really no good way to lay people off, but the forced rankings, cancelled remote working and even cancelling working from different offices than your home office (if it was closer to your home) was a horrible practice all to create attrition.
So far, he's done better at Wells and has made a point to cut expenses not just jobs, but I'm only one person looking at it. Others will probably have a different opinion.

Unfortunately while everyone was enjoying the holiday season Charlie & Co. we’re drafting up plans to lay-off people. Let’s just hope he does a better job here in treating people with dignity unlike what he was responsible for at the last company. They referred to it as taking out the trash.
Pretty sure the plan is already in motion. Company cell phones going away, layoffs etc. It'll be interesting to see if there's any specifics beyond the generalities we've been hearing for many months now.
The media has been saying the cost cutting is coming, but there were not specifics. Now it sounds like Charlie will unveil the bloodbath
