Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Customers are flocking to the competition...

Did you all see the numbers? Customers are flocking to t-mobile and AT&T.
The higher ups seem like they don't know why.
Let me tell you.

  1. The competition has WAY better deals. People are looking to lower their bills now. Being number 1 in anything isn't enough anymore. We're in a pandemic. People are looking for anyways to lower their bills.
  2. Verizon screwed the front line workers that are the reason there is growth. Everyone, I know had in someway hit the brakes or at least let off the gas. The heavy hitters were pushed away or they're not trying as hard. Because there's nothing in it for them.

I can understand (to an extent) tying RIS to pay, but its unbelievably unfair how its calculated and how much of an impact it has.

Lower prices. Simplify the promos. And start paying us for what we contribute. Make RIS more fare and lucrative.

You say "one team". There's still a major disconnect between Retail, customer service and indirect. Customer service tells customers stuff that is untrue about retail and indirect does what ever TF they want and retails hands are tied because of it.

Verizon can't even get online orders and pricing correct for it's own employees. And, then try calling in to get it straightened out. GOOD LUCK! Completely frustrating and ridiculous!

Instead of trying to provide customers with good service it's all about trying to upsell the customer. I work in tech support and the customer's are p-ss-d waiting an hour to talk to me just to get a simple answer anyone else was to afraid to give. I talk to so many people that have lost their jobs and businesses and Verizon management decides to raise the sales target? How about you fix the damn system instead of commenting on how important our safety is regarding the Capitol riot. It's obviously just a political statement. Save your crocodile tears.

Verizon hates their employees. That’s the simple fact of it. This is simply cruel calculations by senior leadership who know we’re too afraid to stand up to them.

I'm in the business channel and I had 4 major accounts leave Verizon. Long time friend and customer told me, business care and support so bad now. New plans and not allowed to do stuff with old plan. Most of all the price. He did a test device with Tmo and had no issues.. sad but people are going fast

everyone is going to t mobile cuz of pricing and low band 600mhz 5g that do not require you to stand absolutely still using a $1000 phone in cancer causing 28 ghz frequency band.

vz 5g equals 5f or 5 feet because thats how far the signal travels.

why did r0nan think that not bidding on 600mhz was smart? well t mobile ate it up and will be the new wireless leader!

The promos I swear, the commercial be like switch to Verizon and get a phone on us. Then in store the details "must be on the highest tier plan you don't want or need, on the 5th day of the equinox spin in circles 6 times clockwise, bow to Venus and then open the rebate center. Allow 2-3 full moons before it arrives.

Yes they are going to AT&T at least in my market. You can pull the port out reports. #1 Tmo #2 att, #3 other (xfinity mobile falls into that, but still VZ market share as they are using VZ) .

Spot on assessment. Near term, not likely to change. We’re overspending on the Spectrum auction so it is likely we will not follow suit with the aggressive equipment promotions that Tmo and ATT are offering.

Price is the only thing that matters during a pandemic. That is pretty obvious. There are plenty of costs at the top that can be cut so that we can offer better price plans and take care of our customers. Reliability doesn't matter when everyone is at home and can do wifi calling anyway.

Hans is driving and krista is riding up front. Needless to say the bus is very very short. Beep beep!

100% correct. Just pull the port out ratio. Shocking!

Customers are so confused by the complex promotions. In store we have arguments from customers saying what they read on-line. When we tell them that is not correct they go order online then come back because the promo did not work.

The chat online with mostly offshore reps give bad information because they do not understand the promotion.

Poster is correct. Best network is not important anymore. Cost is. And really Verizon 5G nationwide is not the best network.

The wheels are falling off the bus.. this bus also don't have no seatbelts..
