New job mapping is all you need to know about STI and Rogers way. People moved from salary back to hourly, people cut out of the bonus pool, people taking significant cut in bonus potential. No way pension survives, STI people not added to it seals that.
Yeah not looking forward to Bill taking over. I always roll my eyes with Kelly’s repetitive inspirational BS but at least he fought to keep the pension. Everything I hear about Bill is that he is a ruthless cutter and wouldn’t surprise me to see the pension and other benefits go away along with more good people.

Although this is 100% true, it isn't a way to go through life or a career. Constantly looking over your shoulder is very stressful and doesn't make for a productive employee. Only a scared one.
If you are one of the unlucky ones who is kept around you will have a lot more work on your plate. If you are riffed take solace that your salary savings will be used to buy back stock in order to keep the price inflated so bonuses at the top level can remain high. Also remember Rogers takes the helm later this year and the real fun begins!
Job cuts are typically carried out on the 3rd or 4th week of the month. January could be lighter than average with the massive pending branch closures to be announced soon.
Remember, we have limited back office staff....including HR, so this will all be done in due time.
