My husband has been fortunate to be able to work from home since late March. He has not received an update as to if or will it will be extended. Has anyone heard anything?

Why would the union object to this...??? Striking associate will still be required to strike at the garages or wireless store???
Just had a meeting and was told end of the summer.... After that we will be in a Hybrid scenario much like management.
There is no way that the CWA will allow a permanent work from home arrangement. What are you gonna do? File grievances against your family? Picket your own front door?
I see the CWA k–ling this 2nd quarter 21.
@spu, God bless union bartenders and waitstaff.
Dr. Fauci now says things won't return to normal until the end of 2021. That said, no one knows how the COVID-19 virus is going to play out because it's not an exact science.

Verizon to mandate vaccination than return to office.

What about associates on disability? Are we going to be able to keep mooching from home?
Care org is home permanently save for the union employees (at this point).
As of now we are home until 1/31....don’t expect a concrete answer until 1/30....but, my guess is we are home thru June.
I am in the union and work from the bar.
I am surprised your husband has not visited or is aware of the company website that has all this information. We have been told no more than 20 - 25% of workforce will be allowed into the buildings. Each employee will be assigned a specific week in which they can work at the office. You must wear a mask, social distancing, temp readings, etc. Keep in mind Verizon has also hired home based customer service reps.
