I don’t know about you guys but this David Kowach character that came from Wells Fargo advisors seems so disconnected from the reality of the world of retail. The guy keeps saying “I worked as a teller, banker, manager, premier banker.” Just because the guy shadowed some for a few days doesn’t mean he worked that. And the videos he does you can’t even hear the audio it’s ridiculous. He might be smart when it comes to analytics and numbers but as far as him connecting with the people in retail everyone I know laughs at him

he's actually a really good guy and leader. Worked under him several years ago while in WFA. Haven't seen anything from him in years, but he was very authentic and went the extra mile to make people feel appreciated. Would give him a chance.

Kowach was a close ally of Danny Ludeman, former CEO of WFA (both coming from WCHV). I thought I had heard they were somehow related, but I can’t verify that. He was definitely a golden boy of Ludeman’s.
When he became CEO of WFA, after Mary went back to the bank side, I would say he was a positive force at WFA. He was friendly and down to earth, upbeat, knew a lot of people by name, held a lot of team meetings and town halls. He was engaging and fun, but expected a lot from his team. I remember there were a few times times where extreme market volatility caused system issues which potentially put Wells at a lot of risk with customer orders. We worked late in to the night and he worked right beside us past 11:00 pm. I didn’t think anything of it, because it was still a team atmosphere back then ( 8-10 years ago).
I think the FAs liked him and felt they had his ear. He definitely cared about the company and the employees. At the time, I think people would have said he was too much of a rah-rah cheerleader for the company. But in hindsight, I would take his warmth and spirit any day of the week compared to the cold deadpan nature of our current leaders.
No, he was brought to the bank by Mary Mack. He took over for her at WFA when she took over the bank after Carrie drove it into the ground.

He’s a goofball sounds like a cowboy that is rarely prepared on his conference calls and consistently counters his own points. He reminds me of the three stooges lol
