Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

HR layoffs

I guess with so many layoffs HR staff won't have much to do except frame and harass employees let they get fired.

I'm thinking about the cost structure of this 'head of displacement'. I would offer him minimum wage and not a penny more.

Why are people outraged by the idea of a "head of displacement"? There's a lot of work that has to be done to properly / legally displace employees, close locations and do all of the related tasks. The people doing that work need to have a manager they report to, whether they have that particular title or not. I mean, do you want people managing displacements with NO oversight / person in charge? I don't. That sounds like a mess waiting to happen.

@1zfi - A head of displacement? Is that an actual job title?

Why the heck would HR review workplace bullying? Their current bullying strategy has been working out just fine. Further acceleration in attrition is all but guaranteed.

Yeah, I don't know about other groups, but from what I have seen you have to be trying hard to actually get fired for performance at WFC. And that attendance policy? Wow.

“HR just got a new head of displacement starting Dec 31 with a new team. Looks like 2021 is going to be busy.”

Seriously? Head of displacement? Hope you’re joking. I fear not.

At some point, most all of us come to understand that we should never think like owners when we are are effectively slaves. The difference between the bulk of the teammates and Senior Management is that Senior Management never thought of themselves as owners... more as opportunists seeking large quick paydays.

Really just modern variations of Willie Sutton, who robbed banks “because that’s where the money is.” Modern banking CEOs have merely taken it into an insider game.

It's funny when people complain about HR in this capacity. As far as my experience goes is that it was practically impossible to get fired at WFC. It's good for the company to start firing people. This place needs a little stick and the carrot.

HR needs to do a review on workplace bullying. We all know HR here doesnt do anything, we could really replace them with bots and wouldnt know the difference. Then you can lay them all off once those are in place and save more money.

I recommend you watch out for yourself and always have your best interest as a priority. No company is worth desroying your life for, no company is your family. You have to start looking out for yourself like that. This is an exchange of your time for money and just leave it at that and never work yourself to death over some company, because they dont care about you and you shouldnt care too much about them either.

If you find it is getting too much for you, i would recommend taking time off, looking for new company to work for. HR is useless and wouldnt waste time with them as they are Cowards.

Not sure what you mean. HR just got a new head of displacement starting Dec 31 with a new team. Looks like 2021 is going to be busy.
