Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

OMG!! My store has a line around the block of eager shoppers waiting to buy HUMs!

Just kidding. My store is dead as always.

3 things

  1. The Hum is the most disgusting product Verizon ever offered. If the government was smart they would investigate each hum sale and uncover the wells Fargo level criminality that goes into selling each of these
  1. You all need to unite (not necessarily the union) and hit Verizon on iPhone launch day, black Friday or right around the holiday season so they realize they are pushing so far. If them screwing with commissions wasn't bad enough to have you do it, your safety should.
  1. Verizon has lost its way. It sh*ts on customers, employees and expects you to give or get a 10 on NPS and employee surveys while they do it. Spread the word. Eventually something will be done.

I left the company on my own terms after it ruined my life after multiple promotions (SM/ B2B). Place is evil and I cant promise you it will be easy but after a few years I found my way and hope you do too. Get an education and push yourself. If you keep working for tyrants you will find yourself working just as hard but continually depressed.

Its not all one way. We had a queue of over 2 hours yesterday with many waiting in their vehicles for that time in Northern NJ. We had open box FedEx people that couldn't dial the ivr number for activation and wanted us to stare at their phone for icloud content restore(yes the knew their apple password)the sm at the door showed them how to do it but they waited over 2 hours.the others "i was asking " so what Black Friday promotion did you come in for " most did no research or had any idea of what they were? They just wanted iPhone 12 max for an upgrade (we don't have any in stock) lol you can't make it up!

I am completely disgusted on how many people we saw yesterday and how many people we had in store.

I get it , we are trying to be business as usual but c'mon this company dropped the ball with trying to stay safe, that game plan was thrown out. No 1 to 1 ratio let alone not letting a family of 3 or more in and letting people come in and roam around ...it was disgusting. We are in the Northeast with cases have spiked and getting higher and this company did not care about our safety at all

And I am also disappointed in every sales rep saying they were going to boycott working on black Friday, proves that you guys can't even unite together to make a statement. Instead you all came to work and complained and than came on here to complain. Next time make the statement and hurt the company right in the pockets

Most of the customers walked out with nothing. Confused over complexity of promotions. Current customers frustrated by lack of deals for them. Many p-ss-d off over the requirement to change plan to get a so called deal. New potential customers turned off by the plan prices required to get deals on phones. Lack of stock of the devices people want.

It is just a matter of time Verizon charges for SIM cards (and they should). Customers are heading to best buy or apple to get a phone then coming to get a sim card. Avoiding the upgrade fee. These tend to be the most needy customers.

It is a slap in the face for people who shop directly with Verizon.

No lie we had a customer come in and wanted their basic flip phone set up to view the new Xfinity cameras they had installed. You got to laugh because someone at Xfinity slammed these elderly folks a camera system knowing they didnt have smart phones.
