It’s pretty clear that not everyone at Wells works full time despite being paid full time. That’s not new and has been going on for years. What are the most interesting side gigs you are aware of employees running while “working” from home?
I will start:
(1) a horse rescue ranch
(2) a convenience store in a 7- eleven gas station
(3) online drop shipping / Amazon FBC
(4) Tutoring/Music classes
(5) day care

Funniest was when a guy came into risk as a new hire and touted his outside firm that does risk consulting- that he was still running btw. Couldn’t believe how he didn’t know that was a huge conflict of interest and even more hilarious was the senior director that hired him, also unaware of the conflict.

Medical billing coding and medical transcription are easy to handle as a side gig
Not a paid side gig per say but I have “redeployed” the time allocated to all hands calls where nothing real is discussed to wash my hair (women will get why it’s a big deal), to organize my closet and to finish Christmas decorations.
