You got money?! I was a 2019 recipient, told we would be going to New Orleans and instead all I got was a webinar I was too busy to attend and some book written by the motivational speaker who presented. I don't recall getting any money and I certainly did not get my trip to New Orleans. Not only that, they later laid off myself and 315 others in the state of Oregon in August 2023. We really did get shafted.
If it makes anyone feel any better, a friend of mine that visited the unemployment office was told that WF is now being investigated for violating the Trade Act by sending our jobs overseas. Doesn't do much to help us now when we need to pay our bills, but hopefully karma is swift and just!!!

2020 Gold Spokes got the golden shaft. In Feb, events were communicated to recipients and travel reservations were booked. Then COVID hit. Rather than defer the events or provide a cash award of real value, recipients got a $250 gift card thing. $250 is more than pocket money for me, but it is not real money. They tried to do video presentations to make up for cancelled events, but I will always remember the Golden Shaft.

OP, to answer your question, you should research whether jp morgan chase has a recognition event. I can tell you jp morgan chase does not, therefore wells fargo's golden spoke event will be no more.
Remember, in the old WF, people were assets to be invested in, hence the good pay, benefits, etc. You were labeled a team member.
Now, in the new WF, you are an expense. You are a thorn in Schart's quest to maximize the stock price. Therefore, no more pay increases, bonuses, benefits going away slowly, and recognition events are done. You are expected to do your job. You shouldnt have to be rewarded for doing what is expected of you.
If your boss isn’t good at BSing and writing up elaborate descriptions of why you are deserving, you have no shot. I’ve been nominated twice but because my manager can’t write or spell worth a damn, never going to get it. Bless his soul though for thinking that highly of me and taking the time to submit the paperwork.

What is a golden spoke and who gets them? Is it something you adorn on the lapel or on a desk? Is it custom made or can it be bought on ebay?
It is getting replaced by the Golden Rod and we all need to bend over and take it.
Me too! That trip was amazing and came at a very hard time in my life too. I definitely left inspired, something that is hard to come by these days.
