Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

401K match for all now BUT still annual!!!!

This is B.S.

So if those making over $250K scream loud enough and they get reinstatement, but WF is still only matching once a year??!!

I'm sure it's because they hid that MAJOR negative from the media just like they tried to do with employees.

Come on, WF – revert back to quarterly match!!!! The annual match is outrageous!

Hey Schart & Galloresse - I hope the money your saving the company is worth losing employee goodwill. It’s definitely not better for the employees to get an annual match. Obviously you’ve shown your incompetency by changing your mind on >250k employees. Do what’s right for the rest of us and pay us quarterly.

@oye I remember that, it was one of those things HR sent a gazillion emails about, because the first paycheck after the switch to the new schedule was really small. I also recall that whoever set it up messed up the calculation somehow, and we all were slightly overpaid for like... 6 months or more? When it was discovered WF couldn't claw back the money. At a smaller company might have been a rounding error, but given the number of employees the impact was probably pretty large. I always wondered if heads rolled over that one.

years ago we were paid twice a month on the 15th and last business day. they switched to bi-weekly in 2005/6 I think

@rov
I actually prefer getting paid once a month, it's better for tax purposes. The reason companies don't do it anymore is because it's money the company can keep on which it can earn interest.

They just don't want to pay what they promised when hired!, it's breach of contract. $1 today is not same as $1 tomorrow. Paying every quarter is not same as paying annual and I don't know how much discontent there is within rank and file in WF.

If we keep quiet, what comes next is paying salary once a month (or even bi monthly) because they can do it. Who is running this company? a bunch of rich, white wall street guys who doesn't know how middle class lives
