Plan B for WF BOD

Is there a Plan B for the BOD in regards to what to do with C.S? He is obviously not cutting it. He is hated by the employees, media and shareholders. How does he still have a job after a year of non sense. Share price is down close to 60 percent! I am not sure who should replace him. But At this point I think pretty much anyone picked will be better then him.

If this was the NFL, he and his team would have been fired long ago. Time to bring in a new coaching staff.

@fps Totally agree. With the pandemic, think the BOD would be foolish to kick him to the curb after just one year, for not achieving everything they hoped he would. But it does feel like he's feeling some pressure to pick up the pace right now, so it could be another story after 2021.

Seems like folks keep forgetting how hard it was to find someone to take that job – there's nothing more attractive about it now, and we don't have another year or two to live in limbo while they court candidates. Plus, no guarantee anyone they pick would do better, so figure they'll stick with the devil they know for now.

Yes, CS is strongly disliked here and at BoNY but BOD didn't hire him for his charm and likeability.

The same thing will happen to Chuckles that happen to Al Dunlap who was the CHainsaw of Sunbeam company in the 1990s. Give it a year and he will get the boot with his golden parachute

He was hated at BNY Mellon. He came in there and cleaned house and it was on going. Then he left. It's what he is hired to do. He didn't get the name chainsaw Charlie for nothing.
I believe before this pandemic, Wells knew they had to clean house and that's why they hired him. So he's not going anywhere until he's done doing what he was hired to do.

I doubt Tim S will be back. WF wanted to cut all ties to John S and his team.

I've heard many people say Tim Sloan would be a fantastic replacement.

@riq+17yB86ji. I agree, Steve Ellis was great! I have seen him live giving presentations. He reminded me of Steve Jobs. I definitely think he can be Head of Technology. Not sure about CEO role.

If the BOD wanted to save the bank they'd make Steve Ellis the CEO.

Understands the company, has a solid track record, very forward-thinking on tech. Might even get Buffett back on board with owning the company.

No way the board would do it, but that would be the way to say they're serious about making us a competitive player in fintech.

The BOD will not be admitting they made a mistake any time soon.

Even assuming they see it that way.

He’s doing what he was hired to do.

Plan B is something YOU should have. Interview and see what's out there. Start making contacts outside of WF.

I think they need to cut ties with C.S gang. S.P wound just be continuation of CS. We need some1 new that everyone can respect and look up to. Someone that is a visionary. Someone who is not going to destroy and embarrass one of the best banks in US pre scandals and pre Covid and Pre CS. CS and his leadership is not the team that can make it happen.

Scott Powell seems like he could be a good plan B pick. Chuckles will get through 2021
