It takes a huge infrastructure to get a few hundred million people vaccinated.
A vaccine that is 80% effecitve if we're very very lucky would still not work 20% of the time, herd immunity takes a long time.
The rest of the world needs to be playing the same song.

We'll be lucky to have a vaccine availble in the spring, we'll be lucky if it's better than 60% effective, and we need everyone to want to take it, which I suspect we do not have.

FYI, if ten people take a vaccine that's 60% effective and all go out to dinner, 40% of them are still at risk, see how that works?

Each year the flu vaccines are only so effective, it's never 100%.

Don't be foolish! 500k is a far cry from 330 million and that's assuming it works as advertised. We are at least 2 to 3 years out from normality. Frankly, I don't know we will every be the same as we were.

yea, i think it was the white house saying November, which we all know is impossible at best;

personally not even sure next year it will be safe and not cause worse health issues

Anyone who thought a vaccine would be developed faster than every single expert in infectious disease was telling us is lacking a sound grasp of reality.

I am only looking to find something more in the area i want to work. I have a few offers but i would do this even if times were at a peak. Its just best for my situation.
