The 10/27/20 Spans and Layers Layoff Party in Risk...

Does anyone know how the Spans and Layers Lay-off party is going down in Risk on 10/27/20? Can we expect individual manager layoff meetings or should we expect big meetings with a bunch of team members getting laid off at the same time for efficiency?

Regarding the Cake and Ice Cream comment. Aetna actually had a cake and ice cream party a week before layoffs. We saw it as our last meal.

Not sure how risk will go. In my department only a couple of managers were laid off. We didn't get notice until the next day regarding the new reporting structure. This was the only time leadership told us who got laid off. And we were told that the managers got four-day notice, but future notice will be the same day. Previously, they never said told us anything except to tell us the org changes and never put the org changes in writing.

I dont know; however, back in 2015 or so, I was asked to drop what I was doing and join a virtual call in 5 minutes. I was 100% remote at that time as a PM. They started the call by saying anyone not in this meeting is in another meeting and receiving their notice. Needless to say, everyone was shocked, quiet, and furiously IMing each other. The question I have is are they going to have the same MO this time around. Thank God I’m not in that role anymore.

Maybe our Chief Risk Officer, MN, will bring cake and ice cream, and offer free therapy sessions compliments of her furry partner.
