10/13 and 10/27 are supposed to be big days. Some of us will get notice. Wishing you all well.

I was working for the Commercial Distribution Finance division and received my layoff notice first thing 10/13 morning. In the region I was working they hit the oldest employees first. Didn't a lot of us have to take all the worthless online courses? Seems to me there were some on discrimination. Anyways my manager told me the next round of layoffs were going to be 10/27, then another in November. Then they were going to be kind and not have any around the Holidays. But come the beginning of 2021 look out here it comes. Here is a tip that I learned use your Floating Holidays ASAP because they will not pay you for the ones you have not used. The will pay you for any PTO that you have not used. I wish I had used mine earlier in the year rather than PTO.

They already have and will continue to do so more than likely.
Anything going on today?
Either in Aug or Sep AMA. Said they would start with managers
When did Saul (or Gushue, for that matter) drop the bomb? I haven’t been watching all the AMA’s.
Gushue may have parroted it but Saul dropped the bomb. It will start this month for ITs. We’ll see what happens and when.
I would think Wells will give more info around cost cutting and layoffs when we report 3rd qtr earnings this week. I never think analysts ask the tough questions on the earnings calls, though.
FYI, Wells Fargo has not been able to beat analysts’ estimates for the past 4 quarters. Hmmm... who has been here for approximately one year 🧐?
You can register on line now for the webcast, if you’re interested. Or just read the transcript afterwards. I always get some good insight from these calls.
I thought I heard Gusheu or someone say IT layoffs start this month.
It's been reported on this board.
And layoffs this month have been reported in the business press, with quotes from CS and others.
The dates may be in question, and the number of people let go, but in between the noise there's been some good info here.
Good luck everyone.
I think it will be based on the goal assessments the managers did; i believe that comes out next week. The potentially following hr will start canning everyone, if that department is still here.
According to this board, every day/week is "supposed to be" the "big one", yet it literally never happens.
Any recent dribs and drabs of layoffs are simply business at usual in a company employing a quarter million people.
Wells Fargo doesn't get much right. The more likely scenario is that mass layoffs won't happen at all, out of sheer executive incompetence. They'll have every intention to do mass layoffs but won't get it off the ground.
This is like a rain dance - if you keep dancing, eventually it will rain. If you keep guessing, eventually you'll be right.
