Spectra was dysfunctional due to nepotism/favoritism/etc which led to alot of unqualified people, even in senior positions. Then came the cesspool called Enbridge. I don't miss either of them.

Couldn't agree more with the poster who said Enbridge USED TO BE a good place to work. As a long-time employee, I know this for a fact. PD was an excellent CEO. Employees looked up to him. His only mistake was recommending his successor. Even the investing community considered Enbridge a gold investment. We had 2 stock-splits in 5 years. The current team ran Enbridge to the ground with the disastrous Spectra acquisition. The business development team blew it big-time. Sad part is those at the top will still have their golden parachutes once they decide to leave.

It’s become a haven for bullies. Very aggressive. Mild mannered folks don’t survive. All the micro aggressions aimed at them wear them down.

Enbridge used to be a well respected company. I don’t hear that anymore.

Agree with the person who wrote below that Enbridge used to be a great company. I miss the old Enbridge under PD. It was a company I was proud of and willing to fight for. Not anymore.

The grass is much greener on the other side. So happy to be rid of the worst run company on the planet. Eh!

Just an FYI,
Enbridge used to be a fantastic place to work and most were proud and happy to be there.
Everything changed when PD the former CEO retired and AM the current CEO took over. Employees who were once people with families, became nothing more than numbers on a spreadsheet.
So sad that the lives of thousands of families became less important to the company that they helped build, than the numbers on the P & L statement. PD would never have sold out the employees in his Company.
“But hey, Nothing personal. It’s only business”. Right?
I suppose it is easier to be heartless when you make $18 mil. at the cost of eliminating a few thousand jobs...

To the person who said 'the dregs of legacy spectra'. That was actually a good company and the people who I worked with there are waaaaaaay smarter, hard working, treat people with respect and family, and just generally got s**t done. Don't be mad because they made more money and you're too old and lazy to get another job. Shows the difference between people who were once at a very happy company vs. those who were not, and it shows, big time.

And to pour salt into the wound, you inherited the dregs of legacy Spectra, those who were/are major butt kissers and no one would pay them as much as legacy Spectra. Or like me, too old to get another job, just acting busy until the next VMO.
