It was announced yesterday that 401k / RIS is being moved to Empower and Assensus.
All analyst, sales and Call Center Reps from Raleigh, Greenville and Greensboro laid off.
A few are safe for now, until everything has transitioned and then the rest will be right behind.

Yes and still do for a few more months.

Yes it was an internal announcement. Our last day is Feb 28th. They will say something in Feb publicly I guess. However since it is being sold, it may not show as layoffs.

I guess they let the employees know this time before the clients. Thats always led to mass rumors.

So Suntrust and BB&T employees both given notice? Thats a blow. I guess cost cutting at its finest. Get rid of a whole department. Loss of income coming in but probably made a large one-time sum without the risk and having to have employees.

Hope you were given more than a one day notice. I was called and told I had 4 hours to pack my things and they will send me a postage to ship my computer back in. Hopefully I will see my box of items I left at the office. Many photos of my kids and family I would like back.

I wouldn't ship your computer until you get your items, If you still bank with Truist, I would just go get my things since your technically a client:) Those dirty rats!
I saw it coming. That's why I left earlier this year. It's a shrinking industry and all the major banks are getting out of it. Fifth third and WELLS FARGO both sold theirs in the last 12 months.
