Unfortunately, it looks like we're getting ready for a second wave of corona virus. If I am an essential worker I want to be compensated for my risk. How did we get hazard pay the first time, and how do we get it again?

I don’t think that’s ever coming back. If you find yourself in a bad situation, just walk away. It’s not worth getting sick. I wouldn’t trust the masks the company gives you, Chinese c-ap that probably doesn't work. If the work doesn’t get done, it doesn't get done. Who cares?
As FDR said : If I were a working man, I’d join a union
Of course you have “the right to work” for less pay, less benefits, less security, and towards a smaller pension In a non union workforce... if that’s what you think equates to a good life, have at it, the smarter people are going to pass on that I think.
You just can’t help some people.
I suspect the OP has a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of provocateur. Yet the rank and file didn't fall for it.
Nice try troll.
As much as I want some extra money, why should we get hazard pay? Clearly our Union doesn’t think we are in harms way, if they did, they would show the company up and give us hazard pay.... so basically, just go to work and do your job.
I’m considered essential as one of the most tenured locators in the Mid Atlantic area. I can’t even take off for more than a week or the place will fall so far behind with locates past due. Please reinstate essential pay Hans. The orange paint fumes are getting to me.
Police ride together with no masks
Verizon techs ride together with no masks
Customers not wearing masks
Mostly companies gave it to look good. With so many places open and hazard pay cancelled for them I really don’t think it’ll come back to Verizon unless everyone else starts so they have to.
