Proud. Large corporation with problems but proud.
I'm not afraid to tell people I work at WF, but I do preface it with humorous banter about working for an evil, soul-s—ing, corporate bank. I've only ever met one person who was like "how do you live with yourself?".
Most people get it's a job. I am in tech, so no relation to any of the scandals we've had.
Am I proud to tell them I do? Not particularly, but personally, I honestly don't care that much. It's a huge corporation that pays ok and gives me solid benefits and work-life balance. It's always an opportunity cost.
"What do you do?"
"I work in banking..."
And for all of you weasels shouting "just quit then!" I never applied to WF...trust me, as soon as i can go i am outtie..
Not proud but it pays the bills. I used to be proud and happy working here
I use to wear my Wells polos when I travelled for work. Not any more. The hate for WF is real.
I once told a cab driver I worked for Wells Fargo and had him go off on me screaming. He kept looking over his shoulder at me and swerving all over the road. I’m a lot more careful now. I don’t tell anyone where I work unless I have to. WF has hurt a lot of people and there are a lot of crazy angry people out there. Stands to reason the two groups would overlap.
I just added 10 upvotes
wells fargo corporate communications and HR monitors this board and also hires "influencers" so any comments or data is suspect
And it went from 3 downs to 100 in about 3 minutes. Pretty easy to sway whichever way you want, just use private browsing...

Jumped from 11 upvote to 35 in one 2 min. Fishy R Us. LOL
Stopped yelling people that I work at WF a few years ago. I just tell them that I work for a large financial institution.
3 votes up and one down - makes no sense for the board that only complains
