I found out that most of Enterprise Architecture were impacted and lost quite a few architects...
Other areas include Tracy's org.. from business analysts... to architects... to several business leads...
so yes Virginia there was and is a layoff that occurred. So Tech was impacted heavily yesterday... the calls in one persons quote was it was cold.... basically you will be let go today at 6pm

Your story sounds just like mine, just that I haven't been cut yet.
I expect that sometime early next year, based on changes and workload I'm seeing.

Tech manager here. Six down, I think. Well, not anymore. Done as of 11/17. Had til the end of the day and then my access was cut off. They're sending me a box for my laptop and corporate phone. My manager has control over the phone and won't shut mine off until I get a replacement, so I can port the number.
I had 13 years in, so I get the 60 days non-working and then six months. It's really not a bad hand to be dealt, overall. I will post to see if I can come back, but if not, I hope I land something good that starts at the end of January - then I get one hell of a severance check.
My job elimination kind of made sense. I saw it coming and wasn't overly shocked by it, though I am an excellent manager with a LOT of connections, knowledge, and experience. I wasn't being utilized enough, and I got complacent with it because I didn't want to post and have to start going into the office. I've been WFH for over 10 years and I like it that way.
I just wish I'd had more time to get my affairs in order and say goodbyes. I have no hard feelings.
I’ve worked in IT at WF for 15 years. Two managers in my group got cut on 11/17. Not sure if my position is up to be cut. Luckily I found a new job last week and had already put in my two weeks notice...
They are getting rid of QA managers. QA folks are starting to report to development managers.

My team was called in yesterday by our managers manager in to attend a meeting set up 1 hour before the meeting time. My manager wasn't in it and he had been afk for over 2 hours. They let him go in the early morning and let us know mid morning.
All or most QA managers are out yersterday.
I know of a few people that got laid off. It appears they're not doing the typical 30 day working- 30 day non-working. They're basically telling people and they're gone. I heard in at least one case they turned off somebody's corp. phone (and maybe access) before even telling them.
A bit surprised about EA, that must be part of why MT moved to another org recently.
There is an email for the SIPD org announcement that went out today that confirms some IT folks are no longer going to be with the bank.
So not all trolls today. IT took a few hits. I don't have names but that's normal, they don't tell us who, we have to figure it out later when Joe the IT Guy doesn't respond to an email.
If there are IA people leaving that's going to leave a few bruises.
There are better places to cut than IA.

If you were paying attention in the Town hall, you would know tech got hit hard.
God, architects are some of my greatest partners. There goes a boat load of accumulated knowledge. And they were shirt-staffed as it was.
I'm in tech, haven't heard anything. I think I'm at the bottom of about 5 layers, so maybe my team isn't too deep.
In SVB's call today (11/18) he mentioned that Tech managers were informed on 11/17 that their employment was ending.
Lot of people in that org. I feel bad for those who lost their jobs.
