Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

laid off

my wife got laid off today. funny thing, her manager was already giving bad vibes for the last two years and saw the right time to use this to get her out..7 hrs left until her all access will be taken away. Also, nobody from HR was on the call..ridiculous! this is a sh–ty company to work for anyways

Has anyone heard about what is to happen with IT Analysts?

I'm a little jealous - last year when I was laid off I had to do the 60 days working - yeah, I got to say goodbye to my friends, but I also had to train the people who were going to be stuck with my work. It was a special kind of hell. I would much rather have just walked out the door that day. That said, I regret nothing and am enjoying my new job. (not at Wells, never again!)

Im not sure why they are all these claims of fake news. 10/27 there were layoffs just as this site said. my peer had no notice and the package came in the mail. This is not the way the company operated in the past but it is now. That day, I received news of layoffs in the business I support in home lending. I also heard of layoffs from old peers in project management. Today, I know of layoffs in home lending again and QA in technology. Same deal-no working time off. 60 day non working notice with package in the mail. Is it a “bloodbath?” No but it’s happening.

Not only was my manager laid off as of 6 pm today, but I have heard about three others, all technology and all QA. No one from HR and the package is in the mail. No time to transition etc

To be clear, there are 0 working days, but the displaced still get 60 days of paid notice period before severance kicks in. During the 60 days the displaced can still access the internal career site and post for roles.

This is not fake, guys! She is in Technology side in Charlotte; wish I could say more. She was moved under someone junior than her for the 7 layer Span stuff. This was well planned out. She didn't even receive any material/severance info..nothing..not even an e-mail. Just a cold phone call from manager that she will be out by end of Nov 17th and should wait for the "package" to arrive in e-mail in 48 hrs on personal mail id. wow!!! great job wells fargo! at least have some decensy..provide some grace period for employees to reach out to their contacts to see if an internal movement can be found out, if.

Which LOB was she in?
