Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Our layoff strategy

I am aware of three individuals who were laid off over last 60 days. They were in different groups. This leads me to believe that they are doing this in smaller batches instead of a big bang cut. Given how fragmented we are this actually makes sense now. I have no reliable info to confirm this but this is my gut feeling based on some cases that had direct connection to me.

HR said in many calls the cuts will be in small amounts over long periods of time, and that is happening. Why is everyone expecting huge layoffs, that is not the strategy. Well, maybe until SVB can enact his "if you are not in core cities you're gone" strategy

One of the Engineering Manager was let go today 11/20/2020. She was told today is your last day. She was responsible for release management of highly visible, very critical application.
