Cuts in IT today, email went out confirming two managers "will be pursuing other opportunities".
Also heard, not firsthand, that the next round is in January.
December has been posted here many times, along with 11/17, so that may still be happening, I don't know for sure.
The folks saying layoffs are going to be here for a long time, but nothing massive, seem to be right.
guess what - I heard of layoffs happening after 5:30 EST - they happened.
Incel trolls with no lives and nothing better to do. If you knew anything, you would know the layoffs are real.

My boss was displaced today and I’m in corporate risk. He/She was at Sr Director level.

I got let go today: QA in CCIBT. 100% of me got fired. So it is very real if you are me. I sent a goodbye email to the team and got about 60 replies, so that many people felt it too. The bank is so big, changes happen in one place and it will seem like nothing elsewhere. But I was one of about 9 managers that I heard of, who knows how many more.

It is real. My manager was let go. A guy who actually was one of the good ones. It’s horrible.

It’s real. My Direct EIT Tech manager of more then 10 years was laid off today. I also doubted the dates when someone said 11/17. But it is really happening. I believe it now.
This is sad. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. It did happen. It was a blood bath. A lot of people I know were let go across several departments. Its devastating.
11/17 was cancelled. We should all be taking a break in he negativity.
Look dumb–s, just because you don't see it or it hasn't happened to someone you know, doesn't mean it's not happening. Hopefully folks like you are on the list as we don't need toxic trolls like you in our org.
3 out of 7 people on my team today, including me. I am friends with other managers that had to lay people off today. Yes, Nov 17th was a thing.
Its real and many managers got lay-off today including my manager. Unfortunate to see that happened.
No matter how many times it's pointed out to some folks, it just doesn't compute. You cannot track layoffs day-to-day or week-to-week via teamworks. Please be smarter.
Teamwork’s doesn’t update for 60days after layoff notification is given. That is a very inaccurate way to track.
I guess I’m not sure what you define as a bloodbath, if you think they’re gonna lay off 1000’s at the same time you have not worked here for a long time…
Entry level positions like call centers have layoffs like that but not so much in the higher roles .
I know for a fact 16 managers in my area were displaced, and at least another 15 to 20 in other areas that I work with, all in all I’m guessing close to 65 or 70 managers within the technology world are definitely gone.
We have a phone call in about an hour and a half to talk about who we will be reporting to and I’m assuming that is just temporary
Monday we gained close to 500 employees, today down 150 from yesterday. Like stated over and over and over, there's no bloodbath, people getting let go everyday.
They are happening every couple weeks and will continue that way for the foreseeable future. I know some people who got the notification today.
