You won’t get paid Holliday pay for thanksgiving nor Black Friday, plus you put your job in the hands of HR. Black Friday is a well known day that you do not call out. Good Luck in whatever y’all decide. A lot of people are just done, so I could see some of this happening.

  • will force Verizon’s hand.

Be careful here folks, unless you really don't care about your job. What you are considering is not a strike, it's job abandonment and the hand Verizon deals you could be termination.

We have 19 reps that’s striking on black friday in our district. We’re stressed, sick of working our butts off for less money. Being short staffed since reopening has been a huge morale k–ler and with the busy season its been worse. 3 of the top reps in our district are even doing it. It all started with a couple friends across a few stores discussing it and it has grown. We’ve got our own discord and we’ve kept it low key and yet have had anything get out to management about it. Some of us feel bad because we actually like our management staff but know its not their fault. We don’t believe in unions but believe enough voices and a show of solidarity across multiple stores will force Verizon’s hand.

Do this, sit down with your GM and explain your concern for Black Friday. Explain how you feel and ask or see if there can or will be some accommodation.
Then you just move up the chain.
If you say you feel unsafe working what are they going to do. You can't argue it's safe in anyway. I mean really though all you have to do is take 3 customers all shift and have them use the app for safety and that will eat up most the day is another route.

( I mean there are some clear safety risks involved and we all know how lax SOME stores are on safety and we all know how customers are. There are gonna be so many noses hanging out da masks and people pulling them down or off, touching everything, sneezing and coughing.)

We have an unofficial facebook messenger group in my district and most of us are calling out.

We all reached out for details on how Blacl Friday was going to be handled. We did not get answers.

Management only cares about metrics. the only thing covered related is the metrics of touchless and the metrics of who has done the return to work. They don't care about our health.

The way it's going in most areas there's probably going to be another shutdown by Black Friday.

Yup, calling out sick. Don't matter if I make one sale or fifty. Just the possibility of getting infected
