@1atm in fairness, sparc is pretty terrible, they've tried to k–l it multiple times and the dev support is virtually non-existent.
Gary is not not a dirty guy. That’s just BS to associate him with Schartf. He is one of many pretty people in the cities, and some of them are girls. No need to destroy people for being people.
Think I heard him throw shade on the sparc tool and push the poor souls coding that beast under the bus.

If you replaced all of tech with new ppl tomorrow, nobody would be able to deal with the antiquated systems and the convoluted database schemas and don’t get me started on network architecture. What k–ls me is ICS was asking for process and system improvements and told to make do, we limp along for a while and now suddenly are told we are too entrenched in the old way of doing things. How about if you tried to modernize and stopped blaming the rank and file for your bad decisions, Gary?

This is the attitude throughout Wells Fargo. If you have been here for more than a couple of years it must be because you are lazy, complacent, or have no other options.
This is a 180 degree turn from the Stumpf era, when tenure was valued and lateral moves were encouraged as a way to increase your knowledge of and value to the company. People who bought into that vision are now considered dead weight.
You are old regime or new regime. If you are old regime you are worthless.

So is the CISO the reason "the Doctor" is leaving or is "the Doctor" leaving because he was not able to get promoted to the role he felt he deserved?
Can't really join if you don't have teams... I've seen this guy talk once or twice. Asked a few valid questions... WF is like 10 years behind everyone else. Their internal network structure is complete sh– and should be rebuilt using three their arch. I don't think this guy really understands what needs to be done here. Either put folks in change that knows what is going on or move aside.

CISO is completely out of his depth and lucked out when the firm was hiring because literally nobody wanted the job. All he cares about is his pay and getting the title. dont expect anything else out of him especially if it means him going out of his way to help with a contentious situation. He is not going to do anything to jeopardize his golden ticket. I feel confident and hope he will get replaced with one of Charlie's people.
All he does is tell people that they "should have done it this way."
His shenanigans from when he was at Promontory are legendary... My favorite was him trying to pull a coup d'etat on a co-worker while the co-worker was out on medical leave being treated for cancer.
