Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Leaders don’t know how to lead

Interesting how the spans and layers were selected but they won’t work. People are being herded into larger groups and the managers are to manage. The problem is they won’t change how they managed their smaller team so those going into a larger team will get lost in the shuffle. Terrible planning. I don’t know anyone happy about the transition. Def is aligned to being an employee worker-bee instead of a valued team member. Morale also s—s. Work hard, get paid, get ignored for future reviews.

They want to get rid of M but it is too costly from a diversity perspective.

The new risk structure is what will break MN. It is obviously Charlie’s idea imposed to her. We are back to where WF was a few years ago before Risk was centralized. Her authority will evaporate as You end up with all decision making rights shifting to the LOB CRO’s who will be heavily entrenched with the LOB CEOs and not really independent of them. The role of the corporate CRO is decorative from now on.

In addition, no one is working to address the core problem in Risk (I.e. the numerous unenforceable controls aligned to incomplete processes supported by systems full of bad data). As such, the decentralized CRO structure will only last until these CROs realize they don’t have an adequate central infrastructure to work with. They will inevitably resort to create their redundant processes and systems to compensate, further exacerbating the mess.

I like to consider myself a pretty smart person but I still can't wrap my head around the new org structure for risk, no matter how many all hands they explain it in. Seems like if I get behind on my TPS reports I'll have multiple managers asking about it.

MN is indeed far from a leader. . She is single handedly f.ing this organization. OCC will never lift the asset cap because Front Line isn't properly setup. But between MN and Nate H they are pretending it is and hoping things will work out ok and OCC will buy the bull.... Well, they won't. Because of these crooks all employees will pay.

The management in risk is despicably bad. They have no clue. They dance around talking out both sides of their mouth. I really don’t know how much more I can take

MN doesn’t. She goes around as the poster child for Risk. She conducts pointless meetings of company rhetoric to hear herself.
