I gave my notice of resignation this week. I’m not one of these people that was waiting for severance pay. I was just looking for my next move. To my surprise, within about two months of casualty looking I found a job that pays nearly double what I was making. To be fair it comes with some challenges but for the pay, it is a fair offer. I don’t want to paint a picture of something it’s not. I’m excited for the challenge, additional experience and income.
My point is, if your not at a minimum looking around to see what’s out in the job market, your sticking your head in the sand. My lesson from this is other employers are willing to pay for talent and as much as it’s been said here, WF being on my resume did not hinder me in my future endeavors.

I left a few months ago. I was in LOB that was acquired by WF. WF treated us as second class citizens and referred to us as "legacy". I discreetly interviewed for other positions before joining my new company. When asked why I wanted to leave WF, I followed the old axiom of not saying anything bad about your employers, but would comment that I liked the corporate culture that existed prior to the take over and WF brought a different approach. Every interviewer made a comment that they had heard that WF's corporate culture was toxic or unpleasant. They all acted like they understood why someone would want to leave WF. They were also pretty understanding when I asked them not to contact WF. So don't be afraid to look around. Business entities are looking for talent. They all seem to know about WF's poor corporate atmosphere.
yes i never stopped looking the job is junior and other companies all of them are about 2 decades ahead.
Probably depend what domain you are working in, but tech is not a good one

Good post. Best of luck to you on your next adventure. The people I know who are actively looking for jobs are getting them. They say it takes a fairly major time commit, tho.
Good post, I think many people here would/will benefit from getting past the initial stress/hurt/etc and instead taking proactive control of their life.
I know I'd feel a lot better with a reasonably desirable job offer than I would getting a layoff notice, though the latter is still preferable to continuing to work at WF.
Ugh, time to polish the resume...
